Coconut water
German: Kokoswasser Also known as: Kokosnusswasser
Clear liquid from inside young coconuts, not a coconut milk product.
Coconut water is the clear liquid inside young green coconuts. It should not be confused with coconut milk, which is made from the flesh. Coconut water tastes slightly sweet and contains natural sugars and minerals such as potassium.
On the market it is sold as not-from-concentrate or reconstituted from concentrate; as with other juices the label should be checked. It is often marketed as a refreshing drink after exercise; proven advantages over water are limited.
