Euro pallet (EPAL)
German: Europalette (EUR-Palette) Also known as: EUR-Palette, EPAL, Europalette
Standardised wooden pallet measuring 1200 × 800 mm, used as a load carrier in the beverage trade and exchanged in a pooling system.
The Euro pallet is a standardised wooden pallet 1200 mm long and 800 mm wide, marked EUR or EPAL. It can be lifted from all four sides with forklifts and pallet trucks and is used in an exchange system.
In the beverage trade crates, kegs and cartons are stacked and secured on it. For returnable crates there are partly separate pallets with other dimensions, such as industrial pallets of 1200 × 1000 mm.
