Beverage retail

German: Getränkehandel Also known as: Getränkefachhandel

The sale of beverages to end customers, for example in a beverage store, a specialist shop or via a delivery service.

Beverage retail covers the sale of drinks to private households and commercial buyers. It includes the classic beverage store, specialist shops for wine and spirits, producers' farm shops and home delivery.

Key features are the deposit system with crates and bottles, stocking of large pack sizes and closeness to customers. Depending on the business, price, regional products or advice take centre stage. For many households it is an important local supplier, because heavy crates can be bought, delivered and returned with little effort.
