Multivitamin juice

German: Multivitaminsaft Also known as: Mehrfruchtsaft, Multivitamin

A blend of several fruit juices, often with added vitamins; juice, nectar or drink depending on its content.

Multivitamin juice is a blended drink of several fruit juices, for example orange, apple, pineapple, passion fruit and banana. The name refers to the variety of fruits and the vitamins, such as vitamin C, that are often added. What matters for classification is the recipe.

It may be called juice only if it consists entirely of fruit components and is unsweetened. Otherwise it must be labelled nectar or fruit juice drink. The label shows which fruits are contained and whether sugar, water or vitamins were added. Added vitamins say nothing about the fruit share.
