Flair bartending

German: Flair Bartending Pronunciation: fleer Also known as: Flairing, Flair

Show-oriented bartending with juggling of bottles and shakers, combining entertainment with drink preparation.

In flair bartending bottles, shakers and glasses are spun, thrown and caught while a drink is prepared. It stands for show and skill and is seen mainly at competitions, events or in venues that want to offer entertainment.

It differs from classic bar culture, where craft, conversation and flavour are the focus, in its staging. Good flair bartenders combine acrobatic technique with properly crafted drinks. Plenty of practice and confidence in handling glass and liquids are required.
