Fruit infusion
German: Früchtetee Also known as: Früchteaufguss
An infusion of dried fruit and fruit pieces without tea leaves and without caffeine.
Fruit infusions consist of dried fruits or fruit parts such as rose hips, hibiscus flowers, apple pieces or berries. They too do not come from the tea plant and are tea-like products in the strict sense. Flavourings or spices are often added.
The blends usually taste fruity and tart and are caffeine-free. They are infused with boiling water and can be drunk hot or cold. Ingredients and flavourings must be declared on the packaging.
