Reverse dry shake

German: Reverse Dry Shake Also known as: Reverse Shake

A variant of the dry shake in which the drink is first shaken with ice, strained and then shaken again without ice.

In the reverse dry shake the order is flipped: the drink is first shaken with ice to chill and dilute it. The ice is then strained off and the drink is shaken a second time without ice.

The aim is a particularly dense, longer-lasting foam, since no ice breaks up foam bubbles in the second step. Whether the method is superior to the classic dry shake is judged differently in the bar scene.
