Flow cooler

German: Durchlaufkühler Also known as: Bierkühler

A device that runs beer through a chilled line while tapping and brings it to serving temperature.

A flow cooler chills the drink only at the moment of tapping. The beer runs from the keg through a coil sitting in a cold water bath or block and arrives chilled at the tap. The keg itself does not have to be cooled.

Such devices are used at parties and in pubs, often as rental equipment. Sufficient cooling capacity in heat and regular line cleaning matter. Compared with cooling the whole keg it saves space and time, but needs electricity and a suitable location.
