Pisco
Grape brandy from Peru and Chile, distilled from wine or grape must.
Pisco is a brandy made from grape wine or must, produced in Peru and Chile. Both countries protect the term, though their rules differ. It is usually distilled in copper or stainless steel stills.
Pisco is best known as the base of the Pisco Sour. Unlike many brandies, Peruvian pisco is mostly bottled without wood ageing and without dilution with water, while Chile also has aged variants.
