Hazy IPA (NEIPA)

Also known as: NEIPA, New England IPA, Juicy IPA

A cloudy, fruity-hoppy IPA with soft bitterness and full mouthfeel.

The hazy IPA, also called New England IPA or NEIPA, is an IPA variant that is deliberately brewed cloudy. It is usually made with wheat or oats and heavily hopped with aromatic hop varieties, especially late or by dry hopping. Bitterness stays low.

Tropical fruit and citrus dominate the flavour and the mouthfeel is soft and round. The haze comes from hop oils, proteins and yeast. Hazy IPAs are considered delicate and are best fresh because hop aromas fade over time.
