A lightly processed tea made from young buds and leaves that is only withered and dried.

White tea is made from young shoots and buds that are often still covered in fine, pale down. The leaves are essentially only withered and dried, not rolled. It is the least processed of the classic tea types.

The taste is usually mild, slightly sweet and delicate. White tea originally comes from China's Fujian province. It is usually infused with water below boiling point and steeps for a few minutes.
