Temporary licence
German: Vorübergehende Gestattung Also known as: Gestattung, Gestattungsverfahren
A time-limited permit to serve alcohol at a party or event without a permanent licence.
For club festivals, street fairs or markets, a temporary permit can be applied for from the responsible authority. It allows serving alcoholic drinks for a limited occasion even if the organiser has no permanent licence.
The name and rules differ by federal state. An application stating place, time and organiser is usually needed. Further conditions on youth protection, hygiene and noise may apply. The application should be made well before the event, since processing can take some time and fees may apply. The applicable regulations are authoritative.
